MILSET ESI 2011 Bratislava

Fri, 2011-07-15 09:44 -- Team Canada-MILSET

Forty seven students and nine delegates from six provinces are making their final preparations to represent Canada at MILSET Expo-Sciences International (ESI) 2011 in Bratislava, Slovakia. We expect to meet over 800 students from 60 countries with whom to explore our enthusiasm for science. We will learn a little of their culture, and make friends that last a lifetime. We will share some of Canada with the rest of ESI 2011.

During our stay, we expect high temperatures ranging from 22° to 30° C, and lows from 15° to 17° C. There is some rain forecast for the first part of the week, but none on the tour days.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday at Pearson International Airport; the remaining members of the Canadian delegation gather at Trudeau International Airport in Montréal.

It's hard to believe that in approximately 24 hours we'll be meeting at Pearson to embark on what I'm sure will be one of the most memorable weeks of our lives!  I'm so excited to meet everyone and reconnect with some of the team members who I've met at other science fair events. :)  It promises to be a week full of science, culture, networking, exploring, laughter, and friendship.  What more could you ask for?  Of course, we can't thank our sponsors and our dedicated chaperones enough!  Without them we would certainly not be preparing to travel to Bratislava, Slovakia for the Expo-Sciences International.   Do videnia, Canada!  ("Good bye, Canada" in Slovak!)Megan Schlorff
