At the beginning of March 2011, Youth Science Canada quietly launched its new family of web sites to provide better access to programs and resources, and to better highlight the achievements of Canada's young scientists. One year later, on February 29, 2012, Google Analytics showed that the sites had received a total of 427,587 page views, with the largest proportion (40%) on the Canada-Wide Science Fair (CWSF) site.
Over the year, we've refined all the sites, including the addition of a new site dedicated to Science Fairs. The CWSF pages with information for CWSF finalists, delegates, judges, and visitors have also been restructured with an accordian-style drop-down menu that provides quick access to everything that had previously been provided in the PDF Participant Guide.
We are committed to providing all our core content and key news stories in both official languages, but we have a fair bit of catching-up to do in this area, so your patience is appreciated.
Please note that most areas of the site provide for comments, and the Contact link at the upper right includes an option for general feedback on the site.
Thanks to everyone who's viewed the sites and provided feedback over the past year. We look forward to crossing the half-million page-view mark in their second year!
